Exercise To Relieve Stress And Lose Weight

If you have been paying attention to the news lately, you have probably noticed two things: people are getting heavier, and they are experiencing a lot more stress. It's hard to imagine that this is a simple coincidence. In fact, a lot of of the complications of obesity and stress are the same.

The good news is that there may be a single solution to both problems, and that is exercise. Exercise can help you lose weight by burning calories, and it can also help relieve stress by releasing feel-good chemicals known as endorphins. Let's look at both of these benefits of exercise in a bit more detail.

The more you weigh, the more physical stress you will put on your body. The question is whether or not that physical stress translates into mental stress. Unfortunately, there is no solid answer to that question yet.

However, there is plenty of evidence that losing weight is one of the most important things you can do to improve your health. And you can only lose weight by burning more calories than you take in. One way to accomplish this is through exercise. You don't even have to do that much of it. As few as 30 minutes per day, most days of the week, can start to add up.

What you do for exercise isn't all that important. What counts is that you are getting active and burning off some of those extra calories. Exercise can also reduce your level of stress by releasing endorphins. These are chemical that make you feel good, and are responsible for what's known as "runner's high". Endorphins are somewhat similar to morphine, and will help to relieve stress.

When you make exercise a part of your normal routine, the endorphins will be released more often, and you will get the stress-relieving benefits more often, too. This good feeling isn't just there during the workout, but it can last for several hours after you are finished exercising. There is also something therapeutic about exercise, as it helps you blow of steam.

All of those little frustrations you face every day suddenly start to vanish. This beats the alternative of letting all of the frustration build up until you explode in an uncontrollable (and potentially dangerous) fit of rage. Getting rid of frustration in a healthy manner is so much better than doing other things.

Exercise is a natural way to handle stress, so there's no need to take questionable medications or engage in risky behaviors to forget about your troubles. If you have a lot of stress to get rid of, then have a more intensive workout. On the other hand, if you would just like to have a lower level of stress overall, then regular exercise is a smart choice. It can help you lose weight, relieve stress and be healthier, too.

Body Detoxes and Their Benefits

Are you considering a body detox?  If so, you may have heard that there are a number of health benefits to undergoing one, but is this true?  Yes and no.  In all honesty, it depends on who you ask.

Before further discussing whether a body detox does have benefits, it is important to familiarize yourself with the detox process.  There are a number of ways for you to detoxify your body.  Three popular approaches include the Master Cleanse, water fasting, and juice fasting.  Water fasting and juice fasting involves only consuming water and juice respectively.  On the Mater Cleanse, you mix a drink with about 8 ounces of water, 1/10 teaspoon of cayenne pepper, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and 1 tablespoon of grade b maple syrup.  The cleanse also includes a nightly senna tea and a morning salt-water flush.

When on the Master Cleanse, a water fast, or a juice fast, solids are eliminated from your diet.  Many healthcare professional state this is very risky.  Most of the risk assumed is associated with water fasting.  When fasting, your body receives no nutrients.  On a juice fast or the Master Cleanse, your body will not receive all needed nutrients, but some.  For that reason, many professional state that if you are going to cleanse, use either the Master Cleanse or juice fasting.

Although there is some concern about the lack of nutrients while on a detox fast or cleanse, there are benefits.  One benefit is weight loss.  When you do not eat solid foods, your calorie intake decreases drastically.  This will result in automatic weight loss, even without exercise.  Medical professional advise against fasting for the sole purpose of losing weight, but it can be a benefit to undergoing detox.

The greatest benefit of a body detox is that it does what it is supposed to do.  That is eliminating stored toxins and waste from your body.  These toxins enter our body through water, food, and the environment.  Although a small buildup is not uncommon, a large one can hurt your body.  When these toxins are expelled through bowel movements, urination, and sweat, you will notice a significant improvement in your health.  Many report an increase in energy, regularity, as well as better skin.

As previously stated, the Master Cleanse, water fasting, and juice fasting are three common and popular ways to detox.  Unfortunately, some find it difficult to go a week without solid foods.  If you are one of those individuals, you can detox in other ways.  Although not as full-proof, switching to organic foods, exercising, getting a full body wrap at a spa, or 5-day visits to the sauna can help your body expel toxins.

Since there are benefits to detoxifying the body, you may wish to get started right away.  Before doing so, review each of your detox options and find the approach that works best for you.  Also, decide on a plan of action for after your detox.  At the conclusion of your cleanse, you will have a cleaner and healthier body.  You can keep it that way by switching to organic foods, maintaining a healthy diet, and by exercising.

Although the above mentioned claims are widely disputed in the medical field, there are many men and women who will tell you to try a cleanse or body detox.  These individuals have seen success.  While each body varies, you will likely see those same results.  As a reminder, those results include weight loss, increased energy, an improvement in the skin’s appearance, and an overall feeling of healthiness.

Why Can't I Seem to Lose Weight?

You have properly asked this question of yourself many times and you've probably also heard many other people say the same thing; why can't I seem to lose weight?

The simple fact that you're reading this information shows that you are still looking for a way to find the optimum body weight.

After trying many different diets and weight loss programs you might begin to think that you're a failure where the reality of the situation is that those very same diet and weight loss programs that you have tried have been the failures and not yourself.

They have failed to give you the desired results, not because of a lack of effort on your behalf, but more likely because they weren't targeting the cause of the problem.

In addition to that many diets and weight loss programs leave people feeling hungry for considerable times throughout the day and this is not how we are supposed to live.

Just as animals in the wild feel the need to eat when they are hungry humans react in the same way and it is only natural that you should seek out food if you're feeling hungry.

If your diet is supplying you have sufficient nutrients to meet your energy needs then you won't feel hungry all the time and any weight-loss program that keeps you in such a state of hunger is in fact destined to fail eventually no matter how much willpower you might have.

It is simply not the natural state of human life.

That is one of the most common reasons why people can't seem to lose weight.  It's just too hard to maintain and it is detrimental to your health and your body will fight against that starvation message that it is getting.

Anybody can lose weight whether they have good willpower or not provided the body is getting sufficient nutritional requirements to eliminate hunger and to satisfy healthy functioning of the body.
